Minosia - Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Minosia collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the website, iOS app, and related services. It reflects the current product, including account features, reminders, notes, habits, and subscriptions sold through Apple's App Store.

1

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as account details, profile information, support requests, and the content you choose to store in Minosia, including reminders, notes, habits, attachments, and related metadata.

We may also collect limited technical and service information required to operate Minosia, such as device type, app version, language, and subscription status. If you purchase a subscription, Apple processes the payment details. Minosia does not receive your full payment card information.

Minosia does not rely on advertising analytics, cross-app tracking, data broker feeds, or behavioral profiling tools designed to monitor users for data selling or targeted advertising purposes. We do not sell personal information to third parties, and we do not track your behavior across third-party apps, websites, or services for marketing profiles.

2

How we use information

We use information to provide and maintain Minosia, authenticate users, sync content across devices, improve reliability, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

We may use limited analytics and operational logs to understand service quality, investigate failures, protect the platform, and improve features. We do not sell your personal information.

3

Accounts and OAuth sign-in

You may create or access your Minosia account using Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. When you choose one of these login methods, Minosia receives limited account information from the identity provider, such as your name, email address, provider account identifier, and any verification status or profile details made available through that sign-in flow.

We use this information to authenticate you, create or link your Minosia account, prevent duplicate accounts, maintain account security, and help you sign back in across devices.

Your use of Apple or Google sign-in is also subject to the privacy policies, terms, and account settings of those providers. Minosia does not control how Apple or Google process information within their own services, and changes you make in your Apple ID or Google account settings may affect your sign-in experience with Minosia.

4

Subscription and billing data

Paid subscriptions are sold and managed through Apple's App Store. Apple handles billing, renewals, cancellations, payment methods, refunds, taxes, and localized pricing. Minosia may receive status information from Apple, such as whether a subscription is active, expired, or in a grace period, so paid features can be unlocked or restricted correctly.

Questions about charges, refund eligibility, billing disputes, family sharing, or payment methods should be directed to Apple because those transactions are processed by Apple rather than Minosia.

5

How information is shared

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Minosia, such as hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, customer support, and security vendors. Those providers may only use the information as needed to provide services to us and are expected to protect it appropriately.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect the rights or safety of users or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

6

Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the reason it was collected.

If you delete content or close your account, some information may remain in backups, logs, or records for a limited period where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or disaster recovery.

7

Encryption and security

Minosia uses server-side field-level encryption to protect certain user-generated text stored in the database. Today, this includes reminder text and category names. Text planned for future rooms, such as notes and habits, may also be encrypted as those features evolve.

Protected text is encrypted on the server before it is written to the database and decrypted only when returned to the authenticated user. Data in transit between the app and server is also protected with HTTPS/TLS.

Passwords are not stored in plaintext. Minosia uses Argon2id for password hashing, together with security parameters intended to align with current industry guidance, including OWASP recommendations.

Not all data is encrypted at rest in the same way. Metadata such as IDs, timestamps, ordering, and account identifiers may remain unencrypted where needed for the service to function. Account details such as name, email, and username are not part of this field-level content encryption. File attachments are access-controlled, but they are not covered by the same field-level text encryption used for protected content.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, but no storage, transmission, or security control is completely secure, and Minosia cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device, login credentials, and any local security features such as biometrics or passcodes enabled on your device.

8

International processing and your rights

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. When that happens, we take reasonable steps intended to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with applicable law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict certain uses of your personal information. For requests that cannot be completed in the app, contact the Minosia team through the contact details published on this website.

9

Use of the service and policy changes

Minosia is a general productivity app. Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the service is permitted under applicable law and, where relevant, under any supervision or consent requirements that apply to them. If we learn that personal information was collected or used in a way that violates applicable law, we may take appropriate steps, including restricting or deleting the relevant data or account.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we may also provide notice in the app or on the website. Continued use of Minosia after the updated policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
